PRINCE WILLIAM shocked Camilla with his “temper” as she shouted at Prince Charles, unearthed reports claim. The Queen reportedly has big plans for Prince William as he prepares to celebrate his 40th birthday. The Duke of Cambridge celebrates the landmark on June 21, weeks after the Platinum Jubilee. A royal expert claims the Queen has been getting down to work to make sure it’s the perfect day for the Prince.

Christopher Andersen, author of The Brothers and Wives: Inside the Private Lives of William, Kate, Harry, and Meghan, said the monarch will have something “special” ready. He said: “The Queen has a big thing planned for William and he is going to throw something as well. “There will be big parties again, if Covid allows anything like that to happen.”

William and his wife Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, have been a relatively calming influence on the Royal Family over the last few years as the Firm grapples with multiple crises. However, unearthed reports show that even the Duke of Cambridge can occasionally blow his lid, as highlighted by Robert Lacey in his 2020 book ‘Battle of Brothers’.

He wrote: “Harry has freely confessed to his own blazing temper from time to time – and as for his elder brother he has proved no sweet William when roused. “In the years after her 2005 marriage to Prince Charles, Camilla has recounted to her own family and close friends her surprise at discovering this unexpected side to Prince Charming – ‘the boy’s got a temper!’

“Charles’s wife had been horrified at the ranting and raving that on occasion William had unleashed against her husband in her presence.” The book continues: “The rows have been earth-shattering by Camilla’s account, with William doing the shouting and Charles submitting meekly on the receiving end.”

According to Mr Lacey, William “holds nothing back” when he is voicing his opinion with his father. While Charles is next in line to the throne, many experts think he could abdicate and hand the crown to William. Experts at University College London’s Constitution Unit said in June that while it is “a matter for Prince Charles, and for Parliament”, they believe that the Queen will not abdicate and will serve ‘”for her whole life.”

They said: “Having waited over 60 years as heir apparent, it would be perfectly natural for Prince Charles to want to assume the throne and perform the royal duties for which he has spent so long preparing in waiting. “But it would be equally natural if, after reigning for a few years as an increasingly elderly monarch, he chose to invite Parliament to hand on the throne to Prince William.”

Princess Diana’s former voice coach, Stewart Pearce, told The Sun that Charles may step aside for William to become king. He claimed: “He [Charles] may not take the throne, he may hand it to his young son. He doesn’t want to do it, such a difficult task.” William and Kate have become increasingly senior Royal Family members over the years, and one expert believes this is party due to the exit of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex decided to leave the Firm in 2020, and this may have increased the workload on the Cambridges. Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond told the Daily Star: “It’s been quite tough on William and Kate, with their young family, to step up and take on so many more responsibilities.

“They obviously set up Shout with the idea that the four of them would share out the workload and now it’s just the two of them. “William has an awful lot else to do, so Kate is shouldering more of the workload. It must be difficult with the children, but they are getting used to the reality.”
