The Cambridge children are starting to get a bit of a reputation for not always playing by the rules as their cheeky and sassy behaviour has been noticed by delighted members of the public. From Princess Charlotte refusing aides’ help with a bunch of flowers to Prince George joking that he plans to rugby tackle his mum Kate Middleton, the Cambridge kids certainly have gained a reputation for being playful.
On one occasion, George revealed his cheeky side to a member of the public who told The Sun all about it. Back in 2019, a woman walking her dog in the Berkshire countryside saw the prince playing with his siblings and grandmother Carole Middleton by a stream near the Middleton family home.
Seeing a future monarch frolicking about must have been surprising enough, however, the woman revealed that she also had a pretty entertaining conversation with the young prince. When George came over to pet her dog, she asked him his name she didn’t quite get the response she was expecting.Speaking about the encounter the woman said: “I was asked by a police minder not to take a photo of the children, which I didn’t, but George started stroking my dog. Just to be friendly I engaged in a bit of small talk and I asked George what his name was, even though obviously I knew it.
“To my astonishment he said ‘I’m called Archie’ with a big smile on his face. I don’t know why he calls himself Archie but kids often play with their names and I think it’s lovely.”At MyLondon, we want to make sure you get the latest and greatest from across the capital.
