The Duchess of Cambridge once “jokingly rolled her eyes” when a pal mentioned her sister-in-law Meghan Markle’s hit TV show Suits, an insider has claimed. Kate is said to keep her feelings and opinions on Prince Harry and Meghan private, despite their much-commented on fallout, unlike her husband, Prince William.
Commenting on how open the couple are with those closest to them, an insider told The Sunday Times Magazine that William is “frank about what’s on his mind, including family woes”.
However Kate is “150% more reserved than him” and keeps her feelings private. The insider says that the closest Kate has ever come to revealing her thoughts on the situation was by once “jokingly rolling her eyes at the mention of Suits”
Initial reports were that Kate and Meghan had fallen out, however insiders later suggested the strain was actually between William and Harry. In the biography Finding Freedom, authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand claimed Meghan and Kate weren’t close as they had nothing in common, rather than because of tension.
They say the women didn’t spend much time together before the Sussexes got married in May 2018 and they didn’t get any closer afterwards. They write: “Meghan would agree with the assessment that the duchesses were not the best of friends. Their relationship hadn’t progressed much since she was Harry’s girlfriend.
