Kate Beckinsale came dangerously close to a wardrobe malfunction as she arrived on the red carpet at London’s Tate Modern ahead of the GQ Men of the Year Awards 2018.The 47-year-old nearly exposed more than she’d hoped as she posed for photographers in her jaw-dropping patterned dress.
The film star’s incredible figure was impossible to miss, and it wasn’t long before Piers Morgan took to Instagram to compliment her in view of his 214,000 followers.Wearing her brunette tresses in a voluminous ponytail, the actress nearly flashed her underwear thanks to her barely-there gown.
As well as a black lace trim, a vibrant red print covered the slither of fabric as well as a dramatic train.Ignoring the legs or chest rule, the British beauty’s pins were entirely on display thanks to the number’s totally open design. One shoulder and one side of her body remained covered while she elongated her long limbs with peep-toe heels.
She polished off her show-stopping ensemble with dangly earrings and lashings of smokey eye make-up.The star was seen posing alongside Tom Bateman after presenting him with the Breakthrough Actor of the Year award at the bash in association with Hugo Boss.“Thank you @gq for a lovely night,” she wrote online. “Also, would just like to point out that @jeffgoldblum is a full blown legend if that has not been on your minds every single second.”
The actor, 65, in question was joined at the party by his wife Emilie Livingston, 35, who he wed back in 2018 and with whom he shares two sons.Meanwhile, Good Morning Britain’s Piers, 53, couldn’t resist sharing a picture of him and Kate earlier today. The pair looked to be having a great time in the monochrome upload, after he stepped out in a black suit and tie.
He wrote: “Less is more. Ms Beckinsale was one of my dinner companions for last night’s #gqawards – and a most amusing one too.”Piers kept his fans up-to-date on his evening out, after being up in the early hours for the ITV breakfast show.
“The Merry Wives of Morgan. #gqawards,” he wrote, while sandwiched between his spouse Celia Walden and co-star Susanna Reid. The latter chose a striking orange dress for the proceedings, complete with a dipped hem and asymmetric neckline.
“Celia un-impressed by the quality of speeches so far… #gqawards,” he quipped, alongside a side shot of his partner of eight years. She was seen talking on her phone, which had a cover that read: “Who left the bag of idiots open?”
