Kaley Cuoco’s latest hair transformation is giving us serious hair envy. The Big Bang Theory star is ditching her sideswept curtain bangs for a brand new look that’s completely on trend. Basically, it’ll have you making an appointment with your hairdresser.
Cuoco took to Instagram to announce the release of the Harley Quinn: The Animated Series: Eat. Bang! Kill. Tour comic, which hits stores on September 14th. Fans of the HBO Max animated series, which features Cuoco voicing the titular character, can read it digitally now. “It’s got action, romance, and everything in between,” Cuoco captioned one Insta Story. Funny, that’s how I would describe her new haircut, which is for her new rom-com with Pete Davidson, Meet Cute.
While Cuoco has become known for her long blonde hair, she has never been one to shy away from hair experimentation. In recent years, she’s gone pixie short and nailed the curtain bang trend for her HBO Max series The Flight Attendant.
Bangs are also very in right now. Last month, Emma Chamberlain swapped her long curtain bangs for something short and wispy, while Kendall Jenner is rocking out with blunt bangs that will make you want to grab a guitar. Tia Mowry went bold, dyeing her bangs blonde. Game of Thrones’ Sophie Turner even turned her bangs into a cheeky mantra: “Ya gal’s bang’d up,” she wrote on Instagram after showing off her own set of willowy bangs.
It appears as if Cuoco just didn’t want to be left out of the fringe club. Which celeb will be next?In her most recent series of colorful hair changes, Cardi B rocked a pastel green wig during an Instagram photo shoot that included her stylish 3-year-old daughter Kulture. She paired the wig with a simple little black dress and Bottega Veneta’s Tire Boots in Black Seagrass, which have yellow-green soles that are nearly the exact same color as her new ‘do.
Hair stylist and wig extraordinaire Tokyo Stylez was responsible for installing Cardi’s new wig. The stylist, who is a favorite among stars including Kylie Jenner, posted Cardi’s photo to her own Instagram page and shared that she used hair from Hair So Fab to create the fun new hairdo. “Me & my best friend for life,” Cardi captioned her Instagram post. In her series of photos, she shared a number of pics of her daughter Kulture dressed in head-to-toe pastel yellow. Kulture’s outfit is accessorized with some adorable bling—a charm necklace that highlights Minnie Mouse in the center and also includes charms of the Chanel logo, a purse, a heart, and the letter “K.” (And check out that sparkly purse!)
Cardi switches up her hair color and style about as often as the average person changes their outfit. At the Grammys in March, she memorably debuted a bubblegum pink bob, which was also the work of Tokyo Stylez.
But Cardi doesn’t need an awards show or special event to rock a colorful wig. In recent months she’s showcased wigs in hues including blue-green, multi-colored pastel purple and blue, and platinum blonde. What color will she wow us with next? Knowing Cardi, we won’t have to wait long for the answer. Out with the blonde and in with the brunette! Florence Pugh debuted her new brown locks in an Instagram Story posted the morning of August 9th. “First day shoot nerves,” she captioned the snap. “Let’s go, ‘The Wonder!!!'”
After most recently sporting lavender-tipped blonde hair, Pugh went back to what is probably closer to her natural hair color for her new role. And while her hair could very possibly be a wig, it could also quiPugh arrived in Ireland over the weekend to begin shooting the film adaptation of Emma Donoghue’s 2016 novel, The Wonder. On Sunday she posted a photo to Instagram showing the Hollywood sign in Co Wicklow.
te possibly be a superb dye job. Harkening back to her natural brown isn’t much of a stretch—plus, she’s had brown hair many times in past years.Pugh plays the role of Lib, who is initially convinced that she’ll quickly prove the whole situation is a ruse. Donoghue, the book’s author, co-wrote the script along with Alice Birch and Sebastián Lelio. She is best known for writing the book Room and later the screenplay for the 2015 film adaptation starring Brie Larson. Donoghue earned a Best Adapted Screenplay Oscar nomination for Room.
“I was instantly intrigued by these cases, which seemed to echo medieval saints starving as an act of penance, and also modern anorexics, but weren’t exactly the same as either. It seemed to say a lot about what it’s meant to be a girl — in many Western countries, from the 16th century right through to the 20th century — that these girls became celebrities by not eating,” Donoghue told Echo. “But I never found one real case that rang that little bell in me, telling me this was the story I had to tell in a novel. Some were too tragic, even for a writer with my dark tastes.”
Instead, Donoghue departed from her usual method of writing a historical fiction novel inspired by a real case and invented an entirely fictional case.
Pugh is the only cast member who has been named thus far, but we’ll definitely stay tuned to her Instagram for any clues of who she’ll be sharing the screen with. Bangs are one of those hair risks that can be scary to take, but some celebrities pull them off flawlessly. In a new shoot for Vogue Spain, Kendall Jenner is rocking heavy bangs in a darker hue than she usually has, and even though it seems like these were extensions she was wearing just for the shoot, she should seriously consider this look for her everyday life.
The first photo shows the former Keeping Up With the Kardashians star with the long, blunt, straight across bangs as she rocks a pair of platform shoes. Swiping over, we can see her in striking bright blue eyeshadow before landing on a final photo that shows the model posing on the edge of an armchair wearing a long denim skirt.
